Yes, I know, but SF always has the argument that science at THIS point isn't advanced enough to understand why it'll all make sense...
At least I've read quite some 'SF' that didn't make sense to me.

Yeah, I understand. I just have the suspicion that this is "SF" by someone who has no real grasp of science. I could be wrong....Or it's just apocalyptic fiction, which is a different story.
