Nice review! How'd you feel about about the counting? Lol I'm not going to lie, it grated on my nerves after awhile. I also have The Suffering, which I'm looking forward to starting today. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on that as well :)

Thanks! The counting didn't really bother me. Possibly, if I had to read it all the time it would drive me insane over the years but I thought it fitted Okiku, kind of showing she's not completely normal any more.
I'm looking forward to read your opinions on The Suffering!

I actually enjoyed the story and the sequel to it as well. The counting kind of got to me a bit. I didn't find it to be scary at all and it reminded me of The Ring and another one I can not think off the top of my head. Great review.
