I liked the review, kind of an interesting storyline.

Thanks! I’ve since read a few other reviews and discussions about it, and it seems like most people liked it a lot better than I did. I really think my reaction would have been different if Xenogenesis hadn’t been so fresh in my mind.

On the other hand, if you had read this book, I bet your review would have made me laugh. I may have done the BL community a great disservice by reviewing this book. ;)

LOL, I guess it all worked out for the best then.

On an unrelated note, I’m happy now about my decision to move on to something else because I’m *really* enjoying the “something else” I chose. (The Just City by Jo Walton.)
I have not read The Just City, but I've read several by Walton, all interesting.

I vaguely remember reading a book by her, Farthing, several years ago. I liked it ok, but it didn’t make a huge impression.

Tor offered The Just City for free last month (I think?) as part of their e-book of the month club so that’s how I ended up with it. I didn’t start it with great expectations, and I think I’m going to have trouble explaining why I liked it so much when I write my review, but I've been hooked from the start.
