That whole thing about her changing her mind about the character of June because of her goddam boyfriend bugged the crap outta me!! I would have been able to recognise Les Mis in the story if she had gone with her original idea and had June as a boy. It would have made the book really interesting and unique but she fell into the trap of feeling the need to include that dumb romantic story line and because of this it just fell really flat for me and ended up so samey. I was really disappointed because everyone's raving about this series.
