Great review.

And on a side note: I have an Industrial too (I've never heard it called a Scaffold before). I've had it for years and love it - especially since it's not one of those piercings that everyone has to run out and get, which means I'm still different-ish. :p
I think scaffold is the term for it only in the UK. Out of interest, if you can remember, how long did yours take to heal? Mine is taking a helluva long time to quit bleeding LOL!! Sorry. That's kinda gross haha :D Glad you enjoyed the review!!

Scaffold actually sounds really cool. People look at me like I'm crazy when I say Industrial, like I'm making what it's called up or something o_O

Mine bled a little bit first, then a few hours later blood started dripping down my ear. (I don't get grossed out easily.) It's funny cause I had a four hour lunch back then (opened and closed at a daycare) and I was the school-age teacher. I decided to drive to the tat parlor 45 minutes a way and do it while on lunch - so I didn't have it in the morning and did have it in the afternoon. One of the girls (an observant one) kept telling me something was different about me. Then, when she saw the blood, she flipped out and told everyone. Little shit haha.

Let's see - it only bled like that day. It took about 4 weeks to fully heal, but that could have been cause I kept getting things caught on it - hoodie, brush, shirt when putting it on, etc. And it was sore to sleep on that ear for awhile afterwards, again probably cause I was getting it caught on things. Make sure you twist it and move it around in the hole, just like you would a regular piercing. It helps it heal better and stuff. And keep it clean.
That's too funny that you had it done in your lunch hour!! And cheers for the advice - much appreciated :D Mine just seems to be taking a very long time to heal properly but as you say it's so easy to knock it or get it caught in your hair or whatever which of course delays healing.

Awesome review! My 13 year old sister has this book and loved it. I've been thinking about reading it, but after reading your review, I think I'm gonna skip it... from the sounds of it, it's NOT made for people in their 20s to enjoy, haha
I agree haha - probably a younger teens novel. Which, from the hype I totally wasn't expecting so I was disappointed. So glad you enjoyed the review :D

Sounds like it wanted to be one of those "forced marriage in a dystopian future" books, that's popular now. Didn't work out.
There are so many better dystopian novels out there - in my opinion this one is not worth bothering with. As I said in the review, anything remotely interesting was cut short leaving us with only an almost never-ending, rather dreary lurve triangle to wade through. Urgh.

I had an industrial piercing for awhile, but my last job made me remove it. I want to get it re-pierced so badly. I didn't bleed that much, but it hurt like a sonofabitch during healing and got swollen. My piercer said that was normal.
That's too bad they made you take it out. I think you have to be careful with having it re-pierced because of scar tissue? I think that's what I heard :D You're lucky yours didn't bleed much, mine bled everywhere haha!! Thanks for sharing - I was worried mine wasn't healing right but there's no-one to ask their opinion so I appreciate yours :D
