Well, since it has become one of my favorite of hers, I certainly thought so *LOL*. She usually wrote contemporary stuffs -- her Hannukkah holiday stories are wonderful and I always look forward to it.

I love Astrid Amara so of course I preordered - but yes, worried, not because of rape ( do not like violence but can deal with it and I trust this writer wont use it gratuitously), but because one character knowing absolute best whats good for another character is one of the tropes which can hit me in a very wrong way. Basically what I am worried about is that my reaction would be along the lines - who the hell you are to decide that you have a right to sell your lover to slavery just so he can change his mindset. How long does the slavery last?
Again, this is not exactly selling his lover to slavery in order to change his 'mindset'... I wish I could say a lot more than that without spoiling things. I even don't like using the word 'slavery' even if Tover is forced to navigate stuffs for the pirates. If you want PM me and I can spoil you. But if not, well, let's hope that it's not as bad as you think it will be.
