Great review! My impression is that these Dreamspinners Desires are mostly "just nice", and nothing too spectacular, a bit lacking?

I think so. I admit that I have only read few titles of this line, however, I think I rate those between 3-3.5 stars, meaning I may like them but not LOVE them
