That's one of the things I like so much about the Time Shifters series. The main character is in her late 50s and shows that maturity in how she deals with a crisis.
Apparently, there are not many. It's been nearly an entire day, and only one example so far. I was kind of hoping for more.

Good call on Miss Marple though. We need to nudge our writer friends and tell them books aren't Hollywood and characters with a little maturity are more interesting than the never ending supply of 15-year-olds coming of age.
I usually just reviews on my blog, but I've been planning a guest post page. Maybe I should be my own first guest and do a rant on this. If lots of us did it close together, Google results would surely spread the sentiment?
