I got hungry putting the post together and started wishing for some lobster. lol
I'm super curious about the Stephen Fry one, and I loved Alan Cumming's narration of Dr.Seward in Dracula, so I've been paying attention to anything else he's narrated. And I'm conflicted between reading 'The Castle of Otranto' sometime soon... or saving it for Halloween next year. hehe =D
I'd say leave it. It's a perfect match for several Halloween Bingo squares, it's relatively short -- and to me, anyway, it's more of a "should have read *once* at some point" kind of book than "run, don't walk to the next quiet corner to get immersed in this."
As for Alan Cumming, there's a recording of him narrating Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Blue Carbuncle" -- I got it for free when I first signed up to Audible.de, and it's an absolute delight. If that should be available on Audible.com, too, I very much recommend it.
And yeah, Audible's Stephen Fry collection alone is probably going to bankrupt me at some point ...
To be honest, I'm not sure what it is either, but it looked good, so I'm hoping that a super chef will make it for me. =P From what I can see, it DOES look like a salad of some sort, with some seared ahi tuna slices--and I love ahi tuna, so I wouldn't mind eating that. =D =D
And oooh, Stephen Fry ... and Alan Cumming ... and I'll be curious what you'll make of "The Castle of Otranto" and "A Desperate Fortune"!
