I definitely could read a murder mystery series with these two, Jemdanee's botanical skills were fascinating to me.
Ridley started off the stronger for me but Jemdanee eventually become my favorite of the two.
I've read BDSM books here and there but they're not my usual sub-genre, so I think this being light on those themes helped me too, especially since Ridley was concerned with them developing their trust relationship first.
Will be looking forward to your comments on the second when you get a chance to read!
Oh man! A murder mystery series with these two would be fantastic! I'd love to see more of Jemdanee's botanical skills at work, and it seems that Mr. Ridley has his own knowledge of human anatomy which shows through here and there. They'd make a wonderful team of private investigating crime fighters. =D
I absolutely love Jemdanee, but I think I found Mr. Ridley all the more fascinating because of the fact that his flaws show--his weakness for coca, or the fact that he's not always right about everything. He's not written to be perfect (or very nearly perfect), unlike a lot of other romance novel heroes out there.
