Excellent review! Despite the bleak story, I enjoyed this one more than both the first and third books. The romance does pick up in book three, btw.
Thank you! I DID find this one better than the first one, though it could also be because I'm more familiar with the characters now. I still don't care much for Sebastian Gage, so hopefully I'll grow to like him more once the romance picks up? Crossing my fingers.
