Ye gods! Norrell is 1000 pages! It's on my tbr as well but if I chose that, it could be the only book I read!
Yes. I'm a slow reader, and Norrell took me something like 2 months -- at a time when I didn't have a lot of spare time to read, though.
Yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen, LOL! I can get in a mood... I tackle Anne Rice's The Witching Hour for Halloween the year before last, that's 800+ pages, and I finished it in record time and then had to find other stuff to read. But, really? I read so many for the bingo last year because I peppered in a LOT of middle-grade books and graphic novels. So this is just very, very preliminary thoughts, LOL!
I didn't realise Witching Hour was that long! I might have to make another substitution.

I am a slow reader too! I have books picked out for all my squares but I am sure I won't get them all read.
I'm trying to find more things like graphic novels and middle grade books--good ones, not just to fill squares, but also to have a quick read that's also a good one--because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, to use a food metaphor, LOL!
