Yeah, I don't remember as much about it as I do the original Elric novels, but the Gypsy Nation and the final battle with Gaynor the Damned do stick with me.
Same here - his style has evolved and they just don't feel the same.
I'm actually reading his upcoming The Whispering Swarm right now and it's very dry. He calls it an autobiographical novel, but so far it's a lot of autobiography and not a lot of novel.
