Yes, I did ;). I just ignored the specific America-facts in the beginning(California and Thomas) until I realized the story is actually set in America. Don´t ask my why, but I just did. It´s just a feeling I´ve got from this book and the writing style.
And don´t read the spoiler unless you have finished the book. It´s nothing earth shattering, but it would take something away from the ending.
I did too, at first. She made a comment in the beginning though, about the Adirondacks, which totally threw me and forced my imagination to move back to the proper continent.
I guess I just think all manor house mysteries must be set in the UK or something. :)
