I still need to read this one. I only know the tv adaptation based on this, and despite the stellar cast, it's not a favourite adaptation. I hoped that the book would be better, but would be equally dark. Is it?

I don´t know the tv adaption, but I didn´t get the impression that this was a particularly dark story, especially in the beginning (compared to And Then There Were None, which I consider to be a dark story). Towards the end, though, it gets darker.

I think I was meh on the romance too.

The romance was horrible. I didn´t get the mutual attraction between these two characters at all.
