Me, too :(. Thin Air was by far my favorite by hers. But after the massive fiasko that Wakenhyrst was, I doubt I will ever pick up another book by her.

I didn't like Dark Matter either. And then you read Wakenhyrst...when I saw it at my library, I walked straight past it. :(

Based on what I know about the things you prefer in your books and your reading, I would say it´s a wise decision that you walked past this book. I can´t really recall what I was bothered by in particular, I just know that Wakenhyrst didn´t work for me at all and that I was glad to DNF it. And I think you would feel the same way about.
