Great post! The Count of Monte Cristo would probably be on my desert island list, too. :)

Those covers (for your fav book covers) are gorgeous. I'm particularly drawn to Tell the Wolves I'm Home.

Great to 'meet' you! :)

(I'm going to say again: I love these)

Great to meet you, too! "Tell the Wolves I'm Home" is a fantastic book, just make sure you keep ta box of tissues nearby because you will be crying before it's over.
Hello Nicole!

Great answers -- what are the miniature buildings in the top right corner of your bookshelf? And is that an "Azzurri" (Italian national soccer team) bear sitting below them? What books is (s)he sitting on?

Thanks, Themis-Athena! :D

The miniature buildings are Muji's City in a bag, in this case, the city of London. They also have New York, Paris, and Tokyo sets but London has a special place in my heart because it's the first city I moved to on my own.

The little bear is actually a souvenir from the city of Rome. Her shirt says "Ciao Roma!" She's sitting on "Swann's Way" by Marcel Proust, Frommer's guide to Sicily, "The Leopard" by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, Culture Shock! Scotland and "Wanderlust: A Love Affair with Five Continents" by Elisabeth Eaves.
London -- of course! :) What a cute little set.

Quite a selection of books for a little teddybear to sit on! How did you like "The Leopard"?

I really enjoy this feature!
Wonderful choice for your favorite quote! Loved this interview! I really need to step up my Spanish game, I would love to read The Shadow of the Wind in its original language.
I didn't really connect with Kitchen. But it is one of the books I want to give another chance. Great interview!

Yay for romance! I've also picked up The Count Monte Cristo but I've never been able to finish it. One day though, one day...
