I plan on doing the same thing with my son this summer. He is obsessed with the movie series.
The characters are a bit different compared to the films, but still quite recognizable. I'm really enjoying the book so far, and so is my little guy!
I always thought it was so much fun when my girls could start to appreciate "chapter books"
Oh, I know! It's amazingly gratifying to reach the point where they can absorb more complex storytelling. I'm counting down the months/years/however long until I can start on Harry Potter.
That will be fun. Mine were old enough to read by themselves when that seties came out. We read them together separately. LOL
