I'm finding it really difficult to get hold of any of Butler's books in the UK - I have ordered them only to have the booksellers contact me to say 'oops we haven't got it'. Can't believe she is such a neglected author.

one of the people in book group really hated the sexuality piece in Dawn, and another described it as 'squicky.' I think Butler does the best sci-fi, and makes us examine ourselves.

Beautiful review! I read Fledgling and it didn't grab me. I definitely need to try her again. This sounds fantastic.
