Some foreign news outlets are covering it so that is good. Photos from today here: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/03/11/turkey-violence-istanbul-ankara-_n_4943585.html

Thanks. My neighborhood is currently quiet but Kadikoy is only a few miles away and they are still being gassed. Live updates here: http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/live-protests-over-young-gezi-victim-berkin-elvans-death-grip-turkey.aspx?pageID=238&nID=63474&NewsCatID=341
Today i hadn't had a chance to see the news on tv, so i don't know if they mentioned it in my country.
But i doubt it. Online_ in portuguese _ i can't find anything (Brazil however seems to have posted some news on it)
Lately, all we hear in the portuguese tv journals, is about Ukraine and Russia.
Either way, i've posted the daily News story on my blog's twitter.
Be safe.

Thanks! It is not as bad here as Ukraine and Venezuela but it could get that way quickly. We are heading into an election on the 30th so tension was already high. Tonight there will be massive protests. I live in a quiet neighborhood so I should be safe.

It is in our news here in Germany, I heard it on the radio yesterday and today.
What a shame, the death of this innocent boy!
I hope the Turkish people will not be blocked from the internet, and wish them success with their protests.
