I've always wanted to read some of this series, but there's just so much on my tbr it doesn't even approach being funny. On a side note, if you want good fantasy I'm in the middle of Game of Thrones right now (the book of course) and its definitely worth the hype.

Couldn't get past Martin romanticizing a relationship between a 13 year-old girl and her rapist. I did like the series until the Purple Wedding. Stopped watching after that. Everyone I wanted to see dead has died, and Tyrion is the only interesting character who's still alive, so I've lost the will to watch.

Yeah he's brutally anti-censorship especially where it's appropriate. Its one thing to talk about pulling no punches with your writing, its an entirely different thing to actually do it. I started the series before and never got through it for the same reasons. Trying it again.
For some reason, that looks like 1983 to me. Taking it from your later 1972 comment that it's 1963? Either way, glad you're happy with these.

Nope. It's 1983. These books weren't even printed until 1976-77.
NM, I see my mistake. Ah, embarrassed. Either way, I'm glad you have these preciousses.

Very nice! I have the later silver-cover editions, but this 6 slender paperbacks are definitely an essential element of my library.
