Wait what? You need to go back and read The Shining...at the very least.

It's too late, on the very first page of Doctor Sleep King summarised everything that happened in The Shining; I have the gist of what's going on. This seems to be a new story entirely'. It's not confusing, just weird. x)

GStill, I'm having trouble fathoming never reading a Stephen King book before now.

You know, don't judge me. LOL. No I think he's an awesome guy, I love his books' adaptations (though I don't think that really counts). I'm going to be reading more of his works after this -- I've my eyes on a few.

Well, that's okay. Let me know if you need some recommendations. I haven't read all his books, but enough to know what ones you should read and what can be skipped.

Awesome, is it okay if I have some of those recommendations now? I plan on buying a shitload of books next week and I'd definitely want to add more on my list of 'to buy'.

Well, The Shining...if only because you've read Dr. Sleep. It (my husband's pick), The Stand (my favorite), Misery, Under the Dome, Needful Things, Cujo, The Dark Half, The Long Walk...

Many thanks. Misery was one the books I had my eyes on, the film was nerve-racking.
