Thanks for the heads up. I had this book cross my desk and was about to add it to my leaning tower of TBRs. I have enough books and am behind on my Netgalley and ARC reviews that I don't want to waste my time with books that just don't do anything for me. I want the escape, I want the words to blend into my imagination and present a flowing picture of the story, I want a good read. Thanks for saving me from getting caught up in a riptide with a book that I would just turn out to be disappointed. Hope you come across a better Grim Reaper ish type of book and if you do, let me know. Have you tried the Rachel Vincent books?
So far, the best "afterlife" book I've read is Velveteen by Daniel Marks. Other than that, no Grim Reaper books have held up to my expectations as of yet. I'm still on the lookout!
I guess you will still be calling me Grim, but also the prospect of continuing with this writer's work grim as well!
