Yeah, audiobooks can really help a story, particularly when you have to stop and start it again like this. Sorry to hear this didn't stand up to rereading. Hope the next book is better.

Sounds like it's an audiobook narrator to keep in mind, at least. Do you remember who it was?

Anne Flosnik. I've never heard her do anything else, but I remember she did well with this one.
