That moment where you wish you could somehow trip the lead from running away! (or doing something real dumb)

This sounds tempting but the editing errors make me hesitant. I'm always on the lookout for art themed mysteries. I just listened to the first two in Charlotte & Aaron Elkins Alix London series and enjoyed them. I've also read the first in Juliet Blackwell's Annie Kincaid series which has the same premise and liked it too. Need to pick up the next book in both series.

I've read the Annie Kincaid series and loved it (especially the last book); this book is much faster paced and much more action oriented.

As for the editing errors... I'll clarify my thoughts from the review by saying there were a lot for a Henery Press publication, but I've seen far more in Berkeley Prime Crime efforts. If I had to guess at the number of errors I stumbled over, it was probably around the half-dozen mark. I've also since learned that this book was originally self-published, and then picked up by Henery Press, so I'm wondering if that's how the errors slipped through.

Ah, I see. Thanks. I think the only Henery Press book I've listened to is Gigi Pandian's Accidental Alchemist. I liked the story but her prose style had a lot of word repetition that grated a bit while listening. Wish she had mixed it up more. Have you read her Jaya Jones series?

Yes, I have - it's pretty good, and similar to this one in that they're both adventure-ish. The Jaya Jones series reminds me of a female Indiana Jones. I like the Accidental Alchemist series too (that's a Midnight Ink publication, not Henery Press, fwiw) but not as much as I should like it, given that I think alchemy is such an interesting backdrop.

My bad. The Jaya Jones are published by Henery Press. I bought the Accidental Alchemist as an Audible daily deal, then checked out Gigi Pandian's other titles and Henery Press stuck in my mind. I thought AA had some good concepts, but the execution could have been better. There was far too much exposition on the health benefits of veganism and herbal remedies for starters. But Dorian, the gargoyle, held my interest enough to made it an okay light listen.
