He did, and the poor thing looked all of 14 years old (I'm sure he wasn't... labor laws etc.). He was an apprentice jockey - he was the only one they could find that could race the horse at that weight class apparently. But he did REALLY well. He brought the horse in at 6th place. Very respectable showing.
I put $2 on Johannes Vermeer to place, so I did ok in the end. Rekindling winning was something of an upset, actually. Nobody actually expected him to win - although the very few people (so few they made the news) that did bet on him to win made a sh*t ton of money. :)
