Excellent - I know Mike was waiting for his book too. I started it last night, but I think I'll put it on hold until y'all have your books. This is one of those that's a lot less fun to read with nobody else to talk to about it. :)

I was going to pick it up at the library since it claimed there was one available but I couldn't find it. So I ordered it and now I'm worrying about when it'll come.

Well, so far there doesn't seem to be a lot of people participating (in spite of it getting so many votes?), and I have no problem waiting myself. I'm enjoying it more than I thought, but I still find it an anxious read because it could so easily go pear shaped for me with no warning.

Well I'll read this one but I don't plan on reading the next one because of what I've read about it.

It could go pear-shaped, yes. I'm always a bit hesitant about animal reads.

What's the next one? And what's so bad about it? I've read the previous old edition and I didn't come across anything earth-shattering (that I remember anyway - it's been a few years).

The new version is basically the old version with addenda tracked on the each chapter iirc and my library doesn't have it.

Yip - that's what I read too. The old book was pretty interesting though. Not sure about the new bits.

Ok - now I'm confused. What new one? This cat book? Is this a new edition? Or are you talking about the book for September?

Book for September. The one on the list is the new, "updated" edition. The first edition was colled Molecule Hunt. It's about 10+ years older than the new edition.

Ah, ok. I feel better now. I thought I'd somehow managed to buy an 'old' edition of the cat book and I only received it a week ago.

Oh, excellent! Hopefully books will arrive soon, but like you, I have other books waiting to be read, so hanging on a bit so everyone can participate is easy. :)
