And now I want some Toblerone. I swear I can't come across a mention of it without going "that sounds tasty right about now"

Actually, I'm psyched to read this review, Rook has been on my radar as a book I should read for awhile, but that I just never get to.

I've never had Toblerone! I swear I've eaten just about every damn brand of chocolate BUT Toblerone. I really should rectify that.

Lol! That would be a pretty big no-no. I looked it up, it's pretty close, all the pronunciations I saw are fairly similar to mif-FAN-nee

GAH! It is *nothing* like. In this book, she pronounces her name to rhyme with Tiffany - the stresses are in a different place all together. TIFF-an-y, rather than muh-VAN-way.

*whispers* The Author is also Australian and it doesn't stop him making an utter hash of representing Britain. Look at all the coffee Miffany drinks - with "cream"!

I've had this on my shelf forever. I might even give it a go now. Well soon. Well you know, when I can. Sigh.

It's a huge book. I honestly wouldn't have read it if I hadn't known how big it was going to be.

Lol! Nice job noticing that, Dor. I'm American, so those details completely went over my head.
They were a boring troll lol.

@Dor: That was one of the biggest reasons I hated it, the Americanization of the WHOLE BOOK! It takes place in London for heaven's sake. Blueberry pancakes, not a big thing according to my husband. He uses the term cell phone instead of mobile constantly. Things like that made it feel inauthentic. Plus butchering that name pronounciation.

Glad you liked this one Khanh, you deserved a good book finally!

I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT. I'm so ashamed of myself, since I consider myself an Anglophile, lol!
