I used to get the Highlights magazines the same time I got my babysitters club, barbie, cabbage patch kids, disney and goosebumps mail packets. I always loved that week lol
I still have a couple of my original purchases from TAB -- which I believe started life as Teen Aged Book Club. My copy of Robb White's "Secret Sea" may be missing a few pages. The first adult book I ever bought was Josephine Tey's "Brat Farrar," and though I have at least one newer copy in much better condition, I still have that first one, bought when I was in 8th grade, 1961-62.
