I like to write in my cookbooks notes and doodles, make them look loved and worn. I have hard copies of my favorites for this reason.

I used to have all HC but I had to thin them down. I live on the hurricane coast and when they come I have to evacuate leave many things behind. The last time IKE took out many of my neighbors homes and I was horrified at seeing their stuff gone or drowned. So I bought many ebooks and keep my HC books down to two small shelves so I can grab and go. Some things you just can't live without. LOL
