Really? People have been undeservedly reticent, then (including myself). It's not the first time that I've interrupted something to listen to one of your podcasts -- or kept the post open in a separate tab until I was able to actually listen to it and give it proper attention. I really like them -- they're informative, frequently make me want to acquire (and osmotically ingest) the books in question, and I really like the way in which you take authors through their own books.
Okay, now THAT'S the most flattering comment I've ever received! I almost never receive feedback on my podcasts, and at times it feels like they basically just go into a void once they're posted. It's nice knowing that they're being listened to and enjoyed.
They definitely aren't going into a void. :) Far from it!
Nathaniel Philbrick sounds like a nice person, btw. I liked how matter of fact he responded to your initial request to introduce himself -- no (not even an unspoken) subtext of "hey, I've written a few bestsellers, do you really think *this* is necessary?"
