OMG this is one of my favorite stories! I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

To me, the horror of being locked up in a room with nothing to do, no pads to write on, no books to read for days and days on end-the medical practices of those times, especially what was done to women, was what got to me.

I liked it too, but I think Herland is much more fun. The bafflement of the men makes up for a lot of the works other issues.

Oh no, I loved this one too! We had a great discussion about it here a few years ago. But if it didn't work for you, it didn't work.
