I've stopped reading her Anita Blake books. On the fence about Merry Gentry because a tiny interest in how the story turns out. But, I'm sure if I go back to Merry I'll wait for library books and for more of series to be published; and carefully reading for reviews like this one which says I can skim uninteresting bits to get to the end action.
The last few I read of Anita Blake books were very quick reads because I learned to skim repetitive infoumps, repetitive here's-Magic-enslaving-vagina Anita getting more powers, endless pages of surprisingly boring/repetitive sex (okay, sometimes additional folk were added to the sexfest) and to zone out when first waxing lyrical on some guy's eyes...
