Then season should definitely have an effect too!

Hehehe word play... cute!

I think my reading choice mostly depends on which device is close at hand...the Nook, my cell, or the laptop lol. Other than that, when life gets too crappy, I pick up Georgette Heyer, Ilona Andrews or a book that gives me the warm fuzzies.

Similar to Troy, my reading changes on a whim, too. Sometimes, I read several books at once, sometimes just one, sometimes none. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes both. There really is no rhyme or reason to it. Seasons don't affect me much.

I didn't think so either. It was an interesting theory though!

My reading goes all over the place. But for vacation, I generally prefer lighter reading. Mostly because I know that I will only be reading in short bursts, (say for the short time on the beach that I have before falling asleep), so nothing too heavy fits the bill.
And I read scary stories all year round. :)

That is why ereaders are so awesome. So many books!

Yeah, until you browse your e-reader for an hour because you can't decide what to read.

HAHA! I thought that was only me! :)

Exactly why I just start with the first book. It bugs me to read out of order anyway!
Lornographic Material 9 years ago
I find myself reading thrillers in the summer, horror throughout fall and winter, and then literary fiction toward the end of winter and all of spring.

Wow, E! That is so specific or are you just yanking my chain? :-)
Lornographic Material 9 years ago
Not yanking your chain at all. I've read in that pattern most of my life. Oh, and I can only seem to read one biography a year. I'm OCD when it comes to books, reading, and writing.

I think a little OCD when it to comes to books does a lot of good :-)

Yes, my reading habits do change during the year. I read most nights before bed all year round. However, I'm self-employed, and I'm much busier between September and January, so only get to read on a night, but during the summer months, I work shorter days, and tend to read in the garden late afternoon/early evening. I enjoy the odd girly chick lit during summer, and always read Christmas novels in December :-)

Maybe the question poser was on to something! :-)
Midu Reads 9 years ago
Yeah, the age thing I completely get. I can barely read any epic fantasy now and I hate that! :-(

That was the time when I wanted to do ALL my reading, instead of prepping for the exams lol
