I've only seen the trailer. That put me off. Sandra Bullock is in her mid-fifties, three decades too old for the part. Then there's the problem that this would make a better audio drama or radio play than a movie. NOT being able to see is central to the story yet movies are fundamentally visual. I'm passing on the Netflix version.
It's funny, I had the opposite reaction. Although I overall liked the premise and the story, I felt the style of writing was more screenplay-ish than immersive, and when I came across the show by accident was far more engaged with it than I was with the book. But then, I tend to have a knee-jerk negative reaction to present tense narratives, so that probably also colored my opinion.
