I like that, but I don't like the character who was saying it! Actually I don't think she meant it - I think she was showing off in order to get Darcy's opinion!

This actually made me think about Miss Bingley and whether I should someday try and reread the book and try and feel sympathy for her. Nah....I don't think I could, even if I pretended Elizabeth's dislike of her was partly prejudice - because I can't interpret Miss B any other way than snobby. Meanwhile I'll find another excuse for a reread!
