It does drag sometimes. I do like the series, but sometimes it gets a bit too much. Too complicated, too bloody, too violent, too over the top. I did skim some parts. Still, I just need to find out who wins. I hope the one I like, but you never know. It's like watching F1. Sometimes it's boring, there are exciting moments, and then, someone crosses the finish line, and I keep hoping it's going to be one of the hot ones that I like.
I can totally understand that. I've stuck with series I came to hate, just to see how the ending turned out. And I'll probably read the end of the last book of this one for that reason.
Maybe in 2017. :D That's about when it's coming out. I'll be 35! Ugh. Hopefully, then I'll read it with my husband, whom I still have to meet, watching on.
That's one of the reasons I read the series too, to find out who wins. Or at least who dies in which book. Usually, I'm a very character-oriented reader, but this is one of the few series I've read where there are very few characters I care enough about to be really devastated when they die.
I read it and liked it but I didn't I think it a masterpiece. It's just an 800 page prologue to a bigger neverending story from an author who needs to learn how to edit.
