I love Jennifer/Ashley's historical work! The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie is what reintroduced me to Historicals. I own the whole Captain Lacey series but just like you I've skipped over it and started other reads. Hopefully, one of these days I'll get to it.

I read this book a while ago and am up to book 4 I believe. I love this series. The next one I believe is my favorite. This book is my favorite freebie. I was surprised with how good it was, I had been expecting the worst. :)
