The Holmes canon is quite a read (though as with any collection that large, some parts are much better than others). Be careful not to overdose, though!

I know you like audio - if you decide to go that route, I cannot recommend Stephen Fry's edition highly enough. He's fantastic and there are times I forget he's reading all the voices, he does them all so well.
