"Duck the Halls"! Oh, I hope you're going to enjoy that one. It was my "mid-series" introduction to the series and is still one of my favorite books from it.
I have had Murder with Peacocks on hold for several weeks at this point, because both copies are checked out. I decided to just screw it, and start with a Christmas mystery.
I'm really excited to read the Judith Flanders NF treatment. I saw it on my feed yesterday after you or BT marked it as to read.
Re: Flanders: I added it yesterday -- I'm very interested about it as well. Ditto Forsyth's "Christmas Cornucopia", which I added to my TBR (and actually acquired) last year but never got around to. Hopefully this year both books will fare better!
And yes, Donna Andrews's is definitely a series you can start right in the middle -- she does an excellent job bringing readers up to speed with the characters and their back story "en passant", without it really distracting from the goings-on in the book you're reading at that moment.
That's good to know - I hope I like it, because there are over twenty other books in the series that I can read. I'm pretty sure that MBD is a big fan as well.
