Audiobooks! I love them! But it depends what books they are and who the narrator is - sometimes they work really well reading alongside actual book, but sometimes I find the audio narration either too slow or too fast for my visual reading pace.

As for your poor students... but some may actually enjoy the new and random facts. And if they don't like peeling back layers, isn't history kinda an odd choice of class to take?
Well required courses are not always the most fun. I try to make the classes, fun, but its not always easy to do that - especially when they resist wanting to learn.

I don't always enjoy the narrator, and that is sometimes a deterrent for me to finish an audio book. I can get frustrated easily. The Amelia Peabody books though are well done.

Do add missing books here; better an incomplete or strange record than no record at all.
I think I will blog a list of what I have read this year, and update as I go.
