I missed the booksmuggler thing so I'm clueless about that, but... billed as a.steamier Gone with the Wind? I'm guessing here, but given that it's a 155 page ebook I'll say it's likely nothing like GWTW. Steamier or otherwise.
I definitely think it was a stretch. The heroine shoots the hero with a gun in the first chapter and has symptoms of major TSTL syndrome, as per example. There are other things, but I have to refresh my memory since it's been a good while since I've picked it up.
She's written to bloggers in the past stating they're young and they don't get their books and is well known to be an author who cant hack negative reviews. I just find it funny she's trying to raise an old bad review and claim bullying. I think its to drum up publicity :P
I never knew that, so at least I have a heads up now. = I figured from her comments that she didn't take criticism well. And the fact that she would equate a well-articulated DNF review as "cyberbullying" after 3 years? She keeps using that word and it does not mean what she thinks it means.
I don't know if it's just me but you may need a color other than white for your comments. The backgrounds don't stay fixed on devices and I can't read this last comment of yours at all. It's right in the lights of the skyline. Just a heads up. =)
I think she's just an author who is butthurt over any kind of criticism - she doesn't seem to see the irony of emailing/pming readers patronizing messages they didn't get the book and I've heard she's blown up on other reviews. I think she attacked the Book Smugglers because they were recently singled out and attacked by that site and she saw them as an easy target. Irony is that her attack backfired on her and no one is taking her seriously other than those who belong in that group.
