I like this alot! But I also like the idea of not doing the challenge day after day. Like doing it twice a week or something. Of course, I am several days behind on the 30 day challenge, so . . .

I love the theme and I think you've done a great job matching book prompts to music. But I agree with Moonlight Reader re: spreading it out. I'm afraid if I try another 30 day one, I'll get too stressed and just stop doing it at all. Twice a week or once a week would work better for me. Plus if we spread it out we can 1) blog about the theme all week and 2) have the challenge last a lot longer so we don't have to come up with another quite so soon. ;)
How about two of these themes a week, then? That should spread it out a bit. I'm working on making the graphic right now, so I'll post it and let you guys decide what you want to do with it since it's a suggestion. If people want to do it as a 30 day challenge, that's fine. But if it's two themes a week, that'll be a total of 15 weeks. The latter should be a very comfortable pace for people who want to do whatever they want with the themes themselves and expand on them.

That works for me and it will take us through the holidays. Some of these will fit in very well with that.

I would love to join this challenge. I didn't get in on the other 30 day challenge I saw floating around. I was thinking of doing it anyway, but now I can just do this one.

I like this, but I'd definitely like to slow the pace down. I think twice a week would be good.
Challenge aside... Rose, I've been meaning to say that I *love* that there's enough space for avvy so that you no longer look to be giving a casual FU to the world at large. ;-)
It really does change things, doesn't it?
Heh,yeah on Goodreads it looks like I'm giving people the middle finger. (Though in the U.K. among other places, the backwards V that you see in the picture is actually an obscene gesture - but I always tell people it isn't meant to be like that at all - more like a symbol of unity/victory in another context. Some measures just mean different things in different societies.)
I knew that because I watched Buffy! Spike! Spike's rude hand gestures! It just tends not to be the first thing that comes to mind, 'cos I'm American.
IKR? Funny how some things mean the opposite and yet others mean the exact same things. *smh* Having traveled a bit, I've learned to minimise hand gestures & keep hands down whilst in unfamiliar territory. Best way to stay outta trouble. ^.^
