So how did it match the movie? I admit I have seen the film but not the book
I haven't seen the movie but I've heard that the movie doesn't match the book very well and that the book is better than the movie. But, of course, everyone likes different things!
Too true...I have learned to not expect movies and books to match up. The movie is a fun popcorn type film that is just silly enough to not take too seriously. Lots of fun action and I loved seeing a more physical and strong Abe than we think of in the still photos. Sorta like the Raven was a more interesting version of EAP than we think of from his work.

I am pretty sure my middle daughter has read this. She loves books like that...or did last time we talked books which was before she moved in with her father.
The book has some action but it's mostly more of a memoir-type book - very well written and the author keeps it interesting, but I can see why they would emphasize the action more for a movie! He is more of a physical and strong Abe in the book as well, which is good. ^_^
Oh, speaking of EAP, he makes a couple of appearances in the book as well.. not sure if he does in the movie.
I don't remember seeing him, so i would say probably not. I will just have to add this to the long list of things I am supposed to read.
