Reading your review I get the idea this is written more as a God got me through and not this was my life?
Exactly. I was expecting a story about "here is what happened to me while I was a dancer/this is how I became a dancer" and instead got a "God solves all problems if you remember to be Christian" book. *sigh* It was really preachy.
I have a feeling she didn't put in the Christian note because she wanted more readers
I'm sure that's exactly why she didn't include that. The Amazon description mentions faith at the very very bottom of a three paragraph description, and that wasn't part of the original netgalley description.
She wanted a bigger audience, not realizing that there is a huge Christian buying audience. I am surprised how many heavy Christian themed books there are
