Both books are by the same publisher, and they seem to be doing "interactive" type story - either a linear (standard) story but with some sort of user participation on the website, or the "branched" type stories which are similar to the "choose your own adventure" style. The company is SilkWords LLC.

I know! Especially this one... there were so many possible branches that could leave to similar situations, but not exactly the same, so you had to make sure that you had all of the details correct. The previous CYA book I read wasn't as complex (or as good, honestly) so I was impressed with the way this was done.
