So, I saw the movie, then read the book. I loved both. I love horror, although zombies aren't my thing. The fact that both the movie and book didn't have typical zombies really warmed me to them both.

I know a bunch of people didn't like this book, though, even before I read it, but I wanted to anyway. I'm sorry this book isn't working for you, just because I know it sucks to want to love something and hate it - or even not like it, or feel mildly about it. You have no idea how excited I was for Retribution and that was enraging for me because it was so bad :(

I hope you like your next book better. After what seems to be this run of bad luck, you deserve a good read!
I liked the more younger tone that the movie had for R, and the fact that Julie wasn't so passive, you know?
So far, the only bk abt zombies that I've liked is Courtney Summers's "This is not a test", and its sequel. Also I'm normal too chicken when it comes to horror, lol
I pretty much lost all my expectations for this year, things have been terrible with my animals, that's why I've been mia. So reading, I never expected to reach this point, but reading has stopped giving me comfort, so that's why I haven't been doing it.
Thanks anyway Grim :)

Totally opposite types of books but two other zombie ones you might like are "Feed" by Mira Grant and "White Trash Zombie" series.
