I read the first four or five Sarah Kelling and Max Bittershon books and then kind of lost interest. I'm hoping to eventually get to the 1st Peter Shanding, though. It's in my audio TBR queue. Macleod was known for humorous quirky characters, so I hope this one continues to amuse. :)
I hadn't read her before. I just picked it up because it seemed cute and it was on sale. The dialogue is reasonably snappy, although it's a good thing to remember that it was published in 1980.
