"I don’t appreciate or like “classics” that forget they’re supposed to be telling a story." Yeah, this.
I think it's a problem with a lot of "classic" books. I prefer classics like Lord of the Rings, or Jane Austen, or Dorian Gray--STORIES first, lessons second.
