Loved this review. Some of the gory bits really stuck with me (strawberry shortcake?), and yeah, the religious beating bothered me too, but in the end, David gets the awesome response "how incredibly cruel: sometimes, he makes you live" line, that in a strange way, while supporting his belief, would sour it to all hell, so *shrug*
